Dr. Holder's research is focused on improving the quality and effectiveness of mental health treatment for Veterans with military-related posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Specific areas of interest include: (1) Understanding variability in response to evidence-based psychotherapies for PTSD; (2) Improving access to evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD; (3) Understanding trends in evidence-based treatment for PTSD; (4) Influence of Social Determinants of Health and Clinical Complexity of PTSD Symptom Presentation and Treatment; (5) Understanding the process of symptom change during evidence-based psychotherapies for PTSD.
