Anna West, PhD is a Research Psychologist and Training Director of the Stress and Health Research Program Assessment Core at San Francisco VA Medical Center. A graduate of the California School of Professional Psychology and San Francisco State University, Dr. West is dually licensed in California as both a Clinical Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. West’s research interests include investigating the association between maternal trauma and child dissociation, which she presented at the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) annual convention in 2016. In addition, she presented her research on predictors of length of stay and readmission among psychiatric inpatient populations at the American Psychological Association’s 2017 convention. Dr. West’s clinical interests include providing evidenced-based treatments for psychosis, serious mental illness, and trauma.
